What we know so far based on Google’s update on the 10th of August 2020.
Website and business owners who’ve spent time and effort to rank your website on Google’s SERP would know that Google’s search algorithm is most trusted in the current market. According to John Mueller from Google, he posted this on twitter:
“I don’t have all the details yet, but it seems like this was a glitch on our side and has been fixed in the meantime.”
While Google SERP seems to be working normally now, as it should, they are still currently investigating what the bug was that caused all this confusion. Google released several updates each year to their SERP algorithm. Each time Google updates its algorithm, it’s moving a step forward in making the search experience easy and more relevant to the users.
